MP suggests calcelling centralized testing at schools
Deputy Chairman of Temporary Commission of the House of Representatives on Human Rights, national relations and media Anatol Hlaz came up with such initiative.
According to his words quoted by BelaPAN, great amount of money is provided for the
centralized testing. Besides, the results of the tests can be simply guessed.
According to the MP, it is proved that it is possible to get 12 points by
guessing.
Instead of the centralized testing after finishing the secondary school, Hlaz
suggested controlling the students' knowledge every quarter or half a year in
the 10-11 grades. A teacher is supposed to evaluate his students' knowledge
before the control. Then all students should write identical tasks. If the
grade of the teacher differs from the control one by 2 points and more, the
school administration should discuss the situation. A teacher can get
disciplinary punishment. Entrance to the higher educational establishments
should be conducted basing on the school grades certificate.
According to Hlaz, such practice is accepted in many European countries and Israel, and has good results.
