National Bank: Some citizens trust Internet more
The National Bank is made to react to the rush demand for foreign currency registered in the past few days again.
Rumours about the devaluation of the Belarusian rouble have become a reason for long queues near currency exchange offices just like it happened a week ago.
"The rumours were distributed before the holidays on March 8 and everyone understood that it was a lie on March 9. The rumours appeared on Friday. The National Bank refuted it all, however, some citizens trust the Internet more”, - noted Anatol Drazdou, the National Bank’s press secretary, in an interview with BelaPAN.
He stressed that the banks should always be prepared for the increased demand for foreign currency.
