The shooter thinks that the golden medal for him was logical.
"Frankly speaking, it was not a great surprise for me. Thinking about history, I could have won at all the Olympics in which I participated, - the shooter says. - However, I was unlucky. I had two bronze medals, I had the 6th and the 8th places... I could have been the first at the very first Olympics in 1988. I was 20 years old, I won the World Cup before, and made the world record. Euroradio: You seem absolutely calm at the contests... How can a person learn to do this? Does anxiety interferes with the sportsmen a lot?
Syarhei Martynau: "Anxiety, you know, gives different impact in different situations. Sometimes it's absolute tranquility, like in the Olypmics final in Atlanta. I dropped from the third place to the seventh then. In fact, I have no idea what is needed for victory. Anxiety - is it good or bad?"
