Pavel Lyohki: My transfer to MFA has been discussed since Spring
He will work at his current position so far.The head of the President's press-center has informed this in a conversation with Euroradio.
Lyohki says that he is excited to try his
skills at a new workplace, and assures that his transfer to the MFA is not
connected with Uladzimir Makey's appointment there:
Lyohki: "The issue of transfer to
another workplace was first raised this Spring - long before Uladzimir Makey
left the position of the head of the Presidential Administration and headed the
MFA. Don't look for any connections here. Frankly speaking, I found out about
Uladzimir Makey's new appointment on the day of signing of the decree".
According to Pavel Lyohki, he decided to change the job after a corresponding
offer from the MFA. His new position is claimed to be advisor-ambassador in the
Russian Embassy.
Pavel Lyohki headed Lukashenka's press-center in May, 2003. He replaced Dzmitry
Zhuk, who became the General Director of BELTA news agency.
