Pavel Lyohki: Putin to visit Belarus first

Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay his first visit abroad to Belarus on May 31. Any information about his intention to visit some other country before that date is not true. Pavel Lyohki, head of Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s press service, has informed Euroradio about it.

Pavel Lyohki: “The 20th anniversary of the Partnership and Cooperation Agreements will be marked on May 25. You just have to read the agreement [between Putin and Nazarbayev]carefully. Or just use your brains – it also helps. It does not say that he must go there [to Kazakhstan] on May 25. Secondly, RIA Novosti informed yesterday that the Russian state leader [Putin] would visit Belarus first. Several information sources who were not too lazy to phone the Kremlin press service informed about it”.

Let us remind you that Pavel Lyohki informed on May 16 that Putin would pay an official visit to our country on May 31. It will be the newly-elected Russian President’s first visit abroad. However, some mass media informed that Putin had accepted Nursultan Nazarbayev’s invitation to visit his country on May 25.
