Police do not return Ales Makayeu's car
They claim in the Central district police department that the car could have been stolen.
Entrepreneur Ales Makayeu faced an
unpleasant surprise when he was released from the Akrestsina Street detention
center on Saturday - the police refused to return him his car. According to the
policemen, the automobile could have been stolen and this needed
checking.
Makayeu says that he bought a brand new car in one of Minsk automobile
dealerships, and had all the necessary documents. According to the
entrepreneur, absence of a vehicle causes problems in his work.
Ales Makayeu was sentenced to 6 days of detention. He was going in a car with a white-red-white flag on it passing by the polling station where Lukashenka had voted, on the election day, September 23.
