Pussy Riot members imprisoned for 2 years
Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, Maria Alyokhina and Ekaterina Samoutsevitch have been returned guilty of hooliganism based of religious hatred.
The sentence to the members of the punk-band is has been pronounced in Homivnitski Court of the Russian capital.
Let us remind you that 22-yera-old Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, 24-year-old Maria Alyokhina and 30-year-old Ekaterina Samoutsevitch conducted a scandalous action in the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. They organized a punk service "Mother of God, oust Putin!". They have already been jailed for over 6 months. The prosecutor asked to imprison them for 3 years. Many world and Russian stars have supported the girls.
Actions in support of the girls are taking place in 43 other cities of the world today.
The police have been detaining adherents of Pussy Riot who have come to court to support the girls in Moscow today.
