Several hundreds "revolutionaries" gathered in Kastrychnitskaya Square

The idea of the group is that supporters of democratic movement should get together in the main square of their city every week at a certain time. People are asked to just walk, or stand - just to be there. “We don't need any flags or streamers, bring no symbols, — the organizers write. — There may be few people at the first meetings, but our number will grow from day to day!”.

According to “Nasha Niva's” correspondent, about 3 hundred young people got together at 7 p.m. today in the Kastrychnitskaya Square. They were standing one by one or in small groups. This was the second attempt of Minsk youth to get together upon the invitation of "Vkontakte.ru" group "Revolution through social network".

The people formed a circle in the center of the square. An elderly man with a beard was singing bard songs to the guitar inside this circle. Policemen watched the action, among them there were Deputy Head of the city administration of internal affairs of Minsk cuty executive committee Ihar Yauseeu and mayor Maxim Hryshchanka. Policemen talked on the phones, then took out a megaphone but did not manage to pronounce their usual text about the action being "non-sanctioned". The participants of the action stopped singing and split around the square. The tight circle was broken.

The action ended at 19.43, people just left, no one was detained.

Similar actions took place today at 19.00 in Brest and Mahileu. Zmitser, who took part in the Brest action, has told to Euroradio that more than a hundred people gathered in the Lenin square, not just youth, but middle-aged people as well, approximately 35-40 years old. There were also some pensioners. People just stood there, or wandered around, or sat on the pavement. In half an hour all of them clapped their hands and left. Zmitser hopes that "Revolution through social network" will last and that the number of participants will grow in a geometrical progression next Wednesday.

Mahileu supporters of the "Revolution through social network" tried a know-how: they filmed the plain-clothed people who looked like policemen or KGB agents, with their cell-phone cameras.

A silent action "Revolution through social network" took place also in Homel. At 7 p.m. about a hundred people gathered in the Lenin square. The action lasted for half an hour, then people started leaving. No police or KGB video-operators were noticed there.
