Syarhei Kavalenka detained in Vitsebsk
He may be jailed.
Activist Syarhei Kavalenka has been detained in Vitsebsk. Let us remind you that he is serving conditional sentence for having attached a white-red-white flag to the city’s main New Year’s Tree last year.
Kavalenka has been delivered to the penalty control inspectorate from home. He phoned his wife and told her that the police wanted to change his measure of restriction of liberty. Several registered violations committed by Kavalenka are the reason for it.
The Vitsebsk member of the CCP-BPF may be jailed right before the Christmas season.
