Two ships collide in North Sea, Ukrainian citizen among victims
13 people have been taken off life rafts, 4 seamen died, 3 have been reported missing.
The rescuers continue looking for the missing people. The rescuing operation was suspended during the night due to the strong wind and 3,5 meters waves.
Reuters informs that the collision of
container transporter Corvus J with cargo ship Baltice Ace happened 40-50
kilometers away from Rotterdam port on Wednesday night. The Corvus stayed at
the water surface while the Baltice Ace drowned in 15 minutes. 24 people were
aboard - Bulgarians, Poles, Ukrainians and Filipinos.
