Zmitser Shurhai and Ales Charkashyn detained in Brest
The activists of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party have been detained by driving inspectors on their arrival to Brest today, on December 15.
According to the BCD press service, the policemen told the activists that their car was searched for having run over a pedestrian in Minsk. The activists have been delivered to Brest Moscow District Department of the Interior for an expertise.
Shurhai thinks that they have been detained on purpose - to prevent them from taking part in the BCD meeting in Minsk on December 17. The activist does not exclude that they may be detained for three days for questioning.
