Rubel deposits can be withdrawn within one day, but Belarusians keep bringing money to banks
Andrei Sakalow from PriorBank says there is no problem with that; especially if the amount does not exceed the equivalent of $3000. By the way, dollars can be withdrawn as easily as rubels.
Andrei Sakalow: “We remit small amounts on the same day. I think that you will receive an equivalent of $3000 on the same day. This will depend on the branch. One should understand that banks do not keep huge amounts of money. When the limit is quickly exhausted, money should be ordered for the next day. There is no problem with either Belarus rubels or foreign currencies”.
Interestingly, PriorBank’s deposit portfolio is now actually increasing, according to the PriorBank’s spokesman.
Andrei Sakalow: “There is no panic at the moment. In fact, we are observing an increase of our deposit portfolio”.
It is very easy to receive Br 6 million ($3000) from Belpromstroibank as well. The only thing is that money should be ordered for the next day.
Belinvestbank: You can withdraw Br 6 million immediately.
Belarusbank also can satisfy your order on the same day. But if you want to withdraw Br 40 million, you will have to wait for three days.
As of October 1, an average deposit per every Belarusian amounted to $661.8 against $620 in September, according to the data from the National Bank of Belarus.
