Satelites to track service vehicles in Pinsk
Ambulances in the Belarusian city of Pinsk has been satellite tracked for over six months. This control system allows to improve the routes of the transport and to cut fuel and maintenance cost. In order to save budget money, the local authorities also have plans to equip the public transport with the GPS-navigation equipment. In 2009, even trash lorries will be tracked by satellites.
