The Svislach – Minskers’ free skating rink (photo report)

Frosty weather has hardly set in but dozens of adventurous people with skates and without them have started using the river not far from the big skating rink in Nyamiha alone and together with their families. How much does the Svislach need to freeze through? There is nice economy and extreme: the ice is uneven and crossed by skate tracks. There are many people and they keep arriving: people are growing bolder and chose the open space of the wider part of the Svislach near the Isle of Tears.

The bridge connecting “Nyamiha” subway and the Trinity Suburb has been repaired since spring and it is impossible to use it due to puddles and slush. However, the bridge will not be needed until the next thaw: brave people can simply walk across the river!
