Syarhei Sіdorskі: A third of the economy is actually unprofitable
“A third of the economy is actually unprofitable”, - claimed Prime Minister Sidorski at a meeting of the Council of Ministers today. Results of the social and economic development of the country in the first half of the year were discussed there.
Official sources have informed about it. The Prime Minister admitted that the number of unprofitable enterprises was decreasing – about 17-18% at the moment.
However, he noted that the situation was different in other departments. For example, the Ministry of Industry has 31% unprofitable enterprises.
“It means that a third of the economy is actually unprofitable. If we don’t take into account some small agents of management, cafes and dining-rooms we can see that the situation is rather grave”, - said the Prime Minister.
