Teddy bear airdrop investigation stopped in Sweden (video)
It is impossible to prove that the crime was committed, prosecutor Lars Hedwall said.
The case was closed because neither Swedish no Lithuanian investigators managed to prove that the border was crossed, Swedish website aklagare.se reports. Two people were suspected of having violated the Law on Foreigners and one person – of the aviation rule violation.
Swedish pilots flew to the Belarusian territory and dropped teddy bears with appeals for the freedom of speech on July 4. The teddy bear airdrop was organized in Ivyanets and in Minsk Suharava District.
The action was organized by members of the company Studio Total – Per Cromwell, Tomas Mazetti and Hannah Lina Frey.
As a result, the Swedish Ambassador was asked to leave Belarus. The heads of the Belarusian Border Committee and the Air Defence Committee were sacked.
