USA impose new sanctions on Russian officials and companies
The expanded list includes the oil and gas sector companies Novotek, Rosneft, Vneshekonombank, and Gasprombank.
The United States increased the sanctions against the Russian companies and officials in connection with the situation in Ukraine, stated in the document of the US Ministry of Finance.
The "black list" of the American Ministry of Finance includes Vice-Speaker of the Russian Parliament's lower house Sergey Neverov, Minister for Crimea Affairs Oleg Savelyev, Russia's President's Assistant Igor Schegolev.
The following companies of the Russian military-industrial complex also got into the list: Almaz-Antei Corporation and Kalashnikov Concern. The sanctions will also cover the companies Bazalt, Izhmash, Uralvagonzavod; the concerns Radioelectronic Technologies and Sozvezdiye, as well as the Construction Bureau of Instrument Engineering and the Scientific-production Association of Mechanic Engineering.
The list also includes the Russian oil and gas sector companies like Novotek, Rosneft, Vnesheconombank and Gasprombank. The United States also imposed sanctions on the Feodosia enterprise on oil products supply (Crimea).
"It was a blow against Gasprom which makes transactions through the Gasprombank, and the biggest oil company in Russia - Rosneft. Vnesheconombank - this is all Kremlin's infrastructure projects: from the Olympics and the World Cup-2018 to the Moscow-Kazan and Moscow-St.Petersburg speedways. The introduced sanctions may lead to destabilization of the country's bank system, shortening of forex reserves and devaluation of the ruble," comments famous Russian politician Boris Nemtsov on his social networks page.
