Vitsebsk KGB blast case: sentence pronounced (video)
A 44-year-old woman has been imprisoned for 4.5 years.
She was retuned guilty of ‘illegal activities with explosives’ and ‘malicious hooliganism’, BELTA reports. It was not explained why the woman had decided to do it near the KGB building.
An explosion occurred near Vitsebsk KGB on November 11, 2012, Euroradio reported back then. A Vitsebsker having previous convictions was accused of it. She was charged with malicious hooliganism. The investigators did not find any other motive in her crime but hooliganism.
The woman pled guilty during the preliminary investigation and took part in an investigative experiment. She described the construction of the blasting assembly in detail, investigators said. She also described the order of her actions in the scene of crime.
Over 700 interrogations and 270 legal expertises were performed during the investigation. The expert service of the Russian Investigation Committee also helped with it.
