"Young Belarus" hangs out banners “Free Surhan!” in Minsk (photo)
Activists of “Young Belarus” hung out two banners “Free Surhan!” in Minsk on April 16. One of them appeared in Dzyarzhynski Square and the other – at the crossroads of Zhukau Street and Dzyarzhynski Square. Young people have demonstrated their support to the movement’s activist Aleh Surhan who is serving a 6-moths sentence of imprisonment for having hung out a white-red-white flag in Vitsebsk. The action as dated for Solidarity Day.
The banners could be seen for several hours until policemen took them off. The action’s participants were not detained.
