“Young Front” activists to conduct their own manifestation on March 25
The deputy head of the youth association “Young Front” (Czech Republic) Mikalai Dzemidzenka sent an application for a manifestation
to Minsk City Executive Committee on February 14.
Mikalai Dzemidzenka has informed BelaPAN that according to the application, the manifestation has to begin in Freedom Square at 6 p.m. Its participants are planning to walk towards Independence Square.
"We are urging to celebrate the Freedom Day not only with the motto of releasing political prisoners. The Freedom Day’s motto should also be “Sasha, leave!”, - thinks Dzemidzenka.
According to him, “Young Front” cannot agree to the terms of the action suggested by the other democratic movements lacking the necessary experience to conduct street actions, such the movement “For Freedom”, the BPF Party, the initiative “Tell the Truth!” , the union “For Modernization”, “The Greens” and the steering committee for the creation of the Party of Freedom and Progress. Let us remind you that these structures have initiated a manifestation from the Academy of Sciences towards Yanka Kupala Square to take place on March 25.
"If Freedom Square is blocked on March 25, participants of the action will gather in October Square”, - noted Dzemidzenka.
