Youth Front activist Ales Kirkevich gets $400 fine
Hrodna's Leninski District Court today heard the case of Ales Kirkevich, a deputy chairman of the Youth Front opposition group. He was tried for distributing the Christian Defense newspaper. Judge Ksenia Stasyukevich ruled to fine the youngster with Br1,225,000 ($400) for violating the media laws. Kirkevich is set to appeal the ruling because he says it is not legitimate.
