EU approves black list of Russian officials and top brass members
130 names were supposed to be on the list. However, the Council of the EU has approved a list of 21 names.
There are both Russians and former Ukrainian officials on the list. They are not allowed to enter the EU and their assets will be frozen.
Lithuanian Minister for Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius has reported it on Twitter. More sanctions will be imposed on Russia one of these days, he noted.
German Minister for Foreign Affairs Frank-Walter Steinmeier only mentioned 8 Crimean politicians, 10 MPs and 3 Russian members of the top brass including the commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet Alexander Vitko.
The losses that will be suffered due to the possible sanctions in connection with the situation in Ukraine would be mutual, RIA Novosti quotes Russian President Vladimir Putin. Everything is interrelated in the modern world and everyone depends on one another, he stressed.
