Lazavik: Nyaklyayeu cannot become presidential candidate

The sentence pronounced for the Squre-2010 is illegal, Uladzimir Nyaklyeyeu thinks. He does not exclude the possibility of participation in the next presidential election. However, CEC spokesperson Mikalai Lazavik has chilled him.

Lazavik: “If he has not been cleared of the record of conviction, he cannot be a candidate. However, he can participate in the election campaign as a member of some other candidate’s team.”

Leader of Tell the Truth has received Minsk Lenin Court’s decision on July 25. Nyaklyayeu’s sentence (2 years of imprisonment with a 2-year respite) has been vacated. Nevertheless, the politician has not been acquitted.
